Requirements
- Qualifications: NQF Level 4/Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and two or more indigenous languages as specified per location.
- Additional Skills:
- Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Time management and problem-solving.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience: Three months of practical experience (advantageous).
- Additional: A valid driver’s license (advantageous).
Duties
- Interpret during criminal, civil, labor court, and quasi-judicial proceedings.
- Provide interpretation during consultations.
- Translate legal documents and exhibits.
- Record cases in criminal record books.
- Maintain and draw case records for magistrates and prosecutors.
- Compile statistics and keep necessary records.
