Job Description
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including Act 101 of 1965 and Pharmacy Act 53 of 1973.
- Maintaining Good Wholesaling and Good Housekeeping Practices in the procurement, purchasing, storage, and distribution of medicinal products and medical devices.
- Handling cold chain products, ensuring temperatures are maintained between 2°C and 8°C.
- Applying FEFO (First Expired, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out) principles during stock management.
- Conducting physical stock receiving, put away, and replenishment.
- Assisting with cycle counts, annual stock counts, and waste management processes.
- Picking and packing weekly orders accurately and efficiently.
Personal Attributes and Skills
- Willingness to work in a cold chain environment (2⁰C - 10⁰C).
- Ability to handle physical labor, as 90% of the role involves manual tasks.
- Capacity to work under pressure and independently.
- Strong customer service orientation with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and attention to detail are essential.
Education and Experience
- Matric (high school diploma).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical Wholesale environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with batch/serial tracking.
