Job Description
The municipality is offering internship positions within the Community and Social Services Department for two Fire Fighter Interns. These interns will receive practical training and experience that aligns with the municipality’s commitment to community safety and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in firefighting operations and emergency response.
- Assist with fire prevention and safety inspections.
- Engage in community safety awareness programs.
- Maintain firefighting equipment and vehicles.
Qualifications Required:
- Educational Qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Certificate in Fire Fighter 1 and 2
- Hazmat Awareness and Operations
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and able to run 2.4 km.
- Skills:
- Strong teamwork, communication, and a commitment to public service.
