Job Description:
As a General Assistant at HWSETA, your primary responsibilities will revolve around maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of the office environment. You will:
- Perform general and basic repairs and maintenance within the office building.
- Regularly monitor and inspect the office environment to identify areas needing attention.
- Provide support to the Registry Administrator, assisting with tasks as needed.
- Assist the Driver with duties when necessary, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Monitor and manage office assets, ensuring they are in good working order and properly maintained.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Diploma related to a trade or technical skill.
- Completion of a health and safety course.
Key Duties:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks within the office premises.
- Handle basic repairs and coordinate with service providers for more complex maintenance needs.
- Assist in the Registry, supporting document management and administrative tasks.
- Support the office Driver, particularly in logistical and delivery duties.
- Monitor and maintain the office’s assets, ensuring all equipment and facilities are functional.
