Bursary Overview
The Investec High School Bursary Programme is designed to assist learners from Grades 10 to 12 who are currently enrolled in township or rural schools and have shown outstanding academic performance, particularly in Pure Mathematics, Physical Science, Accounting, and English. The bursary covers educational expenses, ensuring that recipients can focus on their studies without the burden of financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be enrolled in Grades 10, 11, or 12 in 2025.
- Must display excellent academic results, with a minimum of 70% in all subjects, including 70% in Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and 70% in English.
- Must have been enrolled at their current school for at least one year by the end of 2024.
- Must attend a school that meets Investec’s criteria:
- A minimum of 75% of learners taking Pure Mathematics.
- At least a 90% matric pass rate with 80% university entrance qualification.
- 75% of learners achieving 50% or above in Pure Mathematics.
- A strong English pass rate with at least 80% of learners obtaining above 50%.
- The school should provide a holistic and supportive environment for learners.

- 2023 June and final results.
- 2024 June results (for Grade 9, 10, or 11).
- Certificates of achievements at school.
- Pay slips for parent(s)/guardian if employed, or a letter from the employer and a sworn statement or tax return statement indicating income.
- Latest financial statements if parent(s)/guardian is self-employed.
- Sworn affidavits if parent(s)/guardian is unemployed.
- Death certificates if parent(s) are deceased.
- Divorce certificate if parents are divorced.
- Sworn statement from one parent if parents are separated.
- A copy of your CV.
