This 12-month training opportunity offers artisans the chance to enhance their technical knowledge, sharpen their skills, and gain invaluable experience working with advanced mining and infrastructure equipment — from rock drilling and cutting to loading, hauling, and tunnelling systems.
About the Artisan Bridge Learner Programme
The Artisan Bridge Learner Programme is designed to give qualified artisans structured, hands-on experience with Sandvik products, focusing on machine rebuilds, maintenance, and field operations.
Over 12 months, learners will receive product-specific training, professional guidance, and practical experience that will strengthen their competitiveness in the mining and engineering sectors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum N2 Engineering Studies (Compulsory).
- Qualified Millwright (preferred).
- Electricians will also be considered.
- Section 13 or Section 26D Trade Certificate (POE/Proof of Modules/Apprenticeship required).
- Medically and physically fit to work in mining environments.
- Must provide vaccination certificate upon application
