Job Responsibilities
Successful candidates will perform duties such as:

  • Administer sorting and distribution of samples according to standard operating procedures.
  • Process sample registration (“logging”) and handle queries accurately.
  • Dispatch specimens and monitor progress to ensure timely reporting.
  • Perform hospital rounds for report delivery and sample collection.
  • Handle administrative queries and customer complaints efficiently.
  • Track sample deliveries to ensure compliance with turnaround times.
  • Investigate bottlenecks in laboratory processes and resolve them promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
  • Monitor and order stock to ensure availability of necessary materials.
  • Represent the organisation professionally, upholding ethical standards.
  • Manage reception duties, provide information, and assist clients.
  • Receive and bank cash payments in line with company policies.
  • Report incidents and log customer complaints in the system.
  • Prepare and scan patient forms into the laboratory system.
  • Adhere to company dress code and operational procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification (required)
    • BSc Degree (advantageous)
  • Experience:
    • 0–1 years relevant working experience
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Organisational policy procedures
    • Computer literacy
    • Laboratory information systems
