Job Descriptions
Plant Supervisor:
As a Plant Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the fixed plant, ensuring that production targets are met and that safety standards are maintained. Your role will involve supervising the team, managing equipment, and driving plant efficiency.
Process Controller:
The Process Controller will be responsible for operating and maintaining the plant’s automated systems. This role involves monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that the plant operates at optimal efficiency.
Requirements
Plant Supervisor:
- Education: Matric or relevant qualification.
- Certificates: Supervisory and Safety-related certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within a fixed plant environment.
- Skills: Strong communication, planning, organizing, and attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- License: Valid driver’s license.
Process Controller:
- Education: Matric or relevant qualification.
- Certificates: Relevant courses in First Aid, Safety, etc.
- Experience: At least 3 years in plant operations and maintenance, with experience in Metso plants (Fixed or Mobile) and plant maintenance.
- Skills: Strong communication and listening skills.
- License: Valid C1 driver’s license.
Duties
Plant Supervisor:
- Oversee the operation of crushers, screens, and control rooms.
- Ensure that plant efficiency and production targets are met.
- Manage and motivate the plant team to achieve daily objectives.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Plan and coordinate plant maintenance and repairs.
Process Controller:
- Operate and monitor the plant’s automation and IC control units.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
- Ensure the plant operates at optimal efficiency by adjusting controls as needed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any mechanical or electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of plant performance and report on operational data.
