Job Purpose:
This learnership is designed to train and equip young people with essential packaging, mechanical, and production line skills. Learners will gain hands-on experience working with automated packaging equipment, while ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
You will also develop communication skills and gain a deeper understanding of business operations, teamwork, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
As an Unilever Automated Packaging Learner, you will:
- Perform general production line operations and cleaning activities according to planning requirements.
- Conduct pre-start checks ensuring the area, equipment, and tools meet safety and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor packaging and product quality to meet Unilever’s high manufacturing standards.
- Report equipment faults or abnormalities immediately to avoid production delays.
- Clean and maintain machinery following site and manufacturer guidelines.
- Prepare raw materials for use on the line.
- Uphold personal and team safety at all times.
- Support eco-efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
- Complete all learnership requirements including logbook entries, assessments, and assignments.

Applicants must have:
A National Senior Certificate (Matric) with passes in Mathematics and Science
