Job Description:
Vodacom invites South African students to apply for its Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year. The bursary is designed to support students in STEM fields by covering expenses such as registration fees, tuition fees, textbook allowance, meal allowance, and accommodation. Additionally, bursary recipients will receive a laptop and cellphone, participate in an orientation workshop, gain workplace exposure through the structured Vacation Work programme, and undergo work readiness skill training. They will also have full access to Wellness Programme (ICAS) services.
Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen by birth.
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Studying or intending to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in a STEM field.
- Entering the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of full-time study in 2025.
- Studying or intending to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Must achieve an exemption pass in Matric with a minimum result of 70% for all subjects.
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% at tertiary level, if currently studying (1st year or higher).
- Must be in financial need.
Duties:
- Maintain good academic standing throughout the duration of the bursary.
- Participate in Vodacom's orientation workshops and training programmes.
- Engage in workplace exposure opportunities provided by Vodacom.
- Adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in the bursary agreement.
- Report academic progress and any changes in personal or academic status to the Bursary Management team.
