Key Responsibilities

  • Implement SHE best practices during emergency management activities.
  • Conduct training to maintain physical and mental readiness for emergencies.
  • Perform reconditioning and servicing of firefighting and life support equipment.
  • Manage portable firefighting equipment in plants and buildings.
  • Propose and implement improvements in emergency management and safety practices.
  • Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Education:
    • Grade 12 with mathematical literacy (or equivalent).
  2. Desirable Qualifications (Wish):
    • Firefighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001).
    • HPCSA-registered Basic Ambulance Assistant (BLS) or First Aid Level 3.
    • Hazmat Awareness and Operations (NFPA 1072/472).
  3. Experience:
    • 0-5 years in relevant roles.
  4. Physical Requirements:
    • Must be medically fit as per Firefighter fitness standards.
