Job Description
The City of Johannesburg's Human Settlements Department is offering several internships across different branches for a period not exceeding 18 months. The internships are designed to provide candidates with practical experience in various fields, including Policy, Planning & Research, Public Housing Programme Support, Business Management Support, and Finance.
Key Learning Areas Include:
- Conducting research and producing reports.
- Assisting with policy development and coordination of public participation processes.
- Providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the directorate.
- Supporting the delivery of Human Settlements and project management within the city's key development areas.
- Engaging in financial planning, budget processes, and procurement in compliance with municipal regulations.
Leading Competencies:
- High confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including MS Office applications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
