During the training period, apprentices will:

  • Plan and prepare the work site, tools, equipment, and materials for daily tasks.
  • Manufacture, assemble, and inspect metal structures and components.
  • Install, fit, and commission mechanical systems and assemblies.
  • Use hand, power, and measuring tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform maintenance, modification, and repair of equipment and installations.
  • Test and inspect mechanical assemblies for compliance and performance.
  • Apply learned theory and practical skills in diverse industrial contexts.

Qualifications and Experience:

N2 Subject:
Mathematics (pure),
Engineering Science,
Plating & Structural drawing,
Engineering drawing (draughting),
Metal worker’s theory,
Plater’s theory.

Or
N3-N6 Subjects:
Mathematics (pure),
Engineering Science,
“Plating & Structural drawing,
Engineering drawing (draughting),
Mechanotechnology.

Or
NCV Level 4:
Fundamentals;
