Job Description
As a Supply Chain Intern at AVI Limited, you will embark on a dynamic 24-month graduate program designed to provide you with comprehensive exposure to supply chain management. You’ll work closely with the National Brands Limited (NBL) team, supporting operations at the Head Office and across five world-class manufacturing facilities. The program offers real-world experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics, and more, allowing you to develop your technical, leadership, and business skills in a supportive environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this internship, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Technology degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or Quantitative Analysis. A Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is highly advantageous. Applicants should have achieved a minimum average of 60% in their final year of studies. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and any relevant vacation work or part-time experience will be valued. Additionally, candidates should possess strong communication skills, adaptability, and a hands-on problem-solving approach. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are beneficial.
Duties
As an intern, you will be immersed in various aspects of the supply chain, including:
- Participating in the planning, execution, and monitoring of distribution and warehousing processes.
- Gaining practical experience in factory inbound and outbound logistics.
- Managing inventory, including raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
- Analyzing key performance indicators such as stock levels and forecast accuracy.
- Preparing detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Learning and utilizing SAP systems (MRP) for procurement and replenishment activities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and improvement projects.
