Bokoni Platinum Mines, an ARM-owned mining operation located on the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex, has announced the availability of 13 vacancies across various roles. These positions, crucial for the mine’s goal of producing approximately 400,000 ounces of platinum per annum, offer opportunities for individuals with diverse skill sets and educational backgrounds, including those holding a Grade 12 certificate.

Positions Available

1.Team Leader (B7)

Responsibilities: Installing and reclaiming pipes, ventilation fans, rails, and drains; conducting risk assessments; ensuring safety and availability of tools; training new recruits; overseeing ventilation and sanitation services underground.
Requirements: Grade 12 for new applicants (Grade 10/AET Level 4/NQF Level 1 for former Bokoni employees), Competent A and B certification, ability to read and write in English, one year of relevant experience, teamwork, and fitness certification.

2.Miner UG (C2)

Responsibilities: Operating stopping panels or development ends, ensuring safe working practices, continuous inspection of conditions, and planning to meet operational targets.
Requirements: Grade 12 for new applicants (Grade 10/AET Level 4/NQF Level 1 for former Bokoni employees), Competent A & B, Blasting Certificate (DMRE/MQA Level 3), three years of mining experience, literacy in English, fitness certification.

3.Time & Attendance Clerk (B2)

Responsibilities: Assisting with time and attendance management, resolving access issues, capturing documentation in the TNA system, generating reports, and handling engagements and terminations.
Requirements: Grade 12, basic computer literacy, fluency in English and multiple languages, one year of administration experience in a time and attendance environment.

4.Shift Supervisor UG (C5)

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of employees under the area of responsibility
Requirements:
- Grade 12, for all new applicants.
- Grade 10/AET Level 4/NQF Level 1 for all Ex Bokoni Platinum Mines employees.

5.Roofbolter Operator UG (B4

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of employees under the area of responsibility
Requirements:
- Grade 12, for all new applicants.
- Grade 10/AET Level 4/NQF Level 1 for all Ex Bokoni Platinum employees

6.Roofbolter Operator UG (B4

Responsibilities:
- Installing a water pump before any drilling commence.
- Collar and drill rod on completion of the hole, install grout rod and secure.
Requirements:
- Grade 12, for all new applicants.
- Grade 10/AET Level 4/NQF Level 1 for all Ex Bokoni Platinum employees.
