This programme is structured to provide both theoretical learning and on-the-job experience,
ensuring learners gain the competence and confidence to handle occupational safety and
environmental challenges effectively.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 10 or 11 (must submit a pass/promote report card from school, with the stamp of the school)
- Grade 12 will be advantageous
- Must currently be unemployed
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Have good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be medically fit to work in the mining underground environment
- Must not have a criminal record
- To ensure safety, female candidates must not be pregnant
- Cementation Africa has a ZERO tolerance policy on alcohol and/or illegal substances;
- candidates will be tested as part of the onboarding process and randomly during the learnership
- Must be able to travel at own cost to and from the Training Academy (Carletonville) every second week
- Must not be registered for any other learnership programme
