Job Description
The Stores Person at SABN will be responsible for administering tools, equipment, and consumables within the PEM store and receiving goods from the central warehouse. This role is vital to ensuring that the maintenance function within the company operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the inventory of tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Report missing or damaged tools and equipment to the workshop supervisor.
- Conduct stock taking to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Record the movement of tools, equipment, and consumables to track usage and consumption.
- Mark and tag tools and equipment for storage and asset administration.
- Assist artisans and technicians in executing maintenance activities to required standards.
- Perform housekeeping duties in the workshop and other working areas.
- Comply with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) legislation, internal policies, and procedures.
- Identify and report potential hazards to mitigate risks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate or N3 Engineering qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in an engineering workshop environment or equivalent.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with engineering tools and equipment.
- Basic administrative skills.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
