UNISA X12 Counter Assistant Fixed-Term Contract Grade 12 entry Level KwaZulu-Natal regionA's Department of Dispatch in the KwaZulu-Natal region is currently recruiting for Over-the-Counter Assistant positions across various locations, including Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Richards Bay, and Newcastle. These positions are available on a three-month fixed-term contract, providing an excellent opportunity for Unisa students to gain work experience while supporting the university’s study material delivery process.

Role and Responsibilities:
The Over-the-Counter Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the picking, packing, and shipping of study parcels for students who choose the Counter option during registration. The main duties include:
- Ensuring the safe handling and dispatch of study material.
- Managing parcels that have not been collected within three days, unless the student has made prior arrangements.
- Maintaining accurate records of collected study materials.
- Providing support with warehouse operations as required.
- Following Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12 Certificate.
- Must be a registered Unisa student.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be accurate, able to focus for extended periods, and be willing to learn new processes.
Additional Preferences:
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and warehouse operations.
- Completion of at least 10 modules at Unisa.
