Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship:
    • Be a South African citizen.
  • Age:
    • Between 16 and 35 years old.
  • Education:
    • Have completed Matric/Grade 12, National Senior Certificate, or National Certificate (Vocational).
  • Skills:
    • Specific skills may be required, such as computer literacy.
  • Agreements:
    • Learnership Agreement: Details the responsibilities of the learner, employer, and training provider.
    • Employment Contract: Applicable for the duration of the learnership.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participants in the ECD Learnership will be involved in:

  1. Planning and Preparing: Organizing and planning for ECD services.
  2. Facilitating and Monitoring: Supporting and mentoring the development of children.
  3. Providing Care: Offering care and ensuring a safe environment for children.
  4. Assessing Learning Outcomes: Conducting and evaluating assessments to measure learning progress.
  5. Promoting Safety: Ensuring the health and safety of children in care.
  6. Collaboration: Working with colleagues, families, and community systems to enhance development.
  7. Managing Learning Programs: Developing and maintaining organized and effective learning programs.
