Requirements :
- Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma or degree in nursing) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. A post basic degree/diploma in nursing Administration will be added an advantage. Current registration with the SANC – as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognizable experience after registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife
Duties :
- Monitor and supervise clinical and non-clinical services as well as departmental and institutional priorities during the night. Supervisory, problem-solving, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills. Good leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of nursing legislation related legal and ethical nursing practices and framework. Labor relations legislation and relevant public sector policies. Ability to plan, organize, lead and co-ordinate quality health services. Demonstrate basic understanding of human resources, disciplinary procedures as well as financial management policies, guidelines and practices. Be prepared to work day or night shifts, after hours, on weekends and public holidays.
