Job Description
The Department of Health is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Administrative Officer to join its Employee Relations Directorate. This role involves handling misconduct and grievance cases, representing the employer in disciplinary and arbitration hearings, and ensuring compliance with labour relations standards. The successful candidate will also facilitate training sessions and manage the employee relations database.
Requirements
Candidates must have a 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Law. They should have appropriate experience dealing with misconduct and grievances within the public or private sector. Additionally, candidates must have a valid Code (B/EB) driver’s licence and be willing to travel. Key competencies include knowledge of labour relations, legislative frameworks governing labour law, presentation and facilitation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Duties
- Handle misconduct cases, investigate misconduct, and represent the employer in disciplinary hearings.
- Manage grievances, investigate and draft investigation reports with recommendations.
- Represent the employer in dispute resolutions during conciliation and arbitration hearings.
- Facilitate labour relations training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with monitoring and evaluation standards regarding employee relations.
- Manage the employee relations database systems and compile relevant reports.
