Founded in 2006 by Kumba Iron Ore Limited, the SIOC Community Development Trust (SIOC-CDT) is dedicated to uplifting communities surrounding the Sishen Iron Ore Company’s mining operations. Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Education:
- Grade 12 with English, Mathematics, and Science.
- Additional trade-related subjects (e.g., N2 Engineering Qualification) are advantageous.
- Age: 18–35 years old.
Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL)
For individuals with relevant work experience, the ARPL offers an opportunity to access the trade test.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of verifiable work experience.
- Application: Complete the ARPL application form for your trade.
- Age: Minimum 19 years old for ARPL registration.
