Job Description: The Apprenticeship Programme is a three-year initiative designed to train and develop learners into proficient artisans. The program includes both workshops and off-the-job training, targeting youth candidates from FETs and various accredited training institutions. Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience and knowledge essential for their trades.
Required Trades and Positions:
- Boilermaker (REF NO: 01/07/2024): 10 Positions
- Pipe Fitter (REF NO: 02/07/2024): 10 Positions
- Welder (REF NO: 03/07/2024): 10 Positions
Academic Requirements: Candidates must possess one of the following:
- Technical Grade 12 with Maths
- Engineering Science or Full N2 Engineering (Four subjects) with the relevant trade theory
- Technical trade theory programmes quality assured by a SETA deemed equivalent to NQF Level 3
- Relevant Engineering NC(V) Certificate with seven subjects at NQF Level 3
- Technical Grade 11 with Maths, Science, Language, and related theory subject
Key Duties:
- Participate actively in all training sessions and workshops
- Apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards
